Frequently Asked Questions - Security Questions

Absolutely. We use a 256-bit encrypted connection between your computer and our computer. That means no one else can see or interfere with what we are doing. And it means your computer is fixed in the privacy of your own home or office. No need to unhook cables and transport your machine elsewhere, or to let strangers into your home.

Yes. We use a secure payment processor (PayPal) and we send your information directly to them using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) 128-bit encryption. We do not store your credit card information.

Never. Our remote tool automatically revokes all access rights once you terminate the service session. That means no one else, including us, can remotely access your computer without initiating a new session and receiving your permission again. You need to visit our website, join the technical session and allow us to have access to your system. We have no remote access without your interaction.

Yes. All transmissions between our two computers use 256-bit SSL encryption which is the same security level used and trusted by major banking institutions. It is also compliant with HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley and other federal, corporate and local legislation.

Certainly. All troubleshooting tools used by our technicians are continuously checked for the presence of malware. These files are transferred to your machine for troubleshooting purposes. All of these tools will be deleted after your service has been completed, unless otherwise stated.

Top secret. Even though we can remotely see your desktop, all we see is a series of dots when you type into the login window. This information is encrypted and saved on your hard drive (and is never transmitted to us) and it can only be used during the active session. Once the session is over, it cannot be used again by us or by anyone else.

Yes. The entire session is logged for both your security and ours.

Never. Every one of our remote PC repair technicians are specially trained to respect your privacy and security as required by our privacy and security policy. If you’re concerned, you can watch and see everything they do.
